Charis will be releasing her latest track ‘Own It’ on December 1, get ready to feel this good vibes.
Saturday November 27, 2021 (London, UK) LA-based Pop/ R&B artist Charis set to release her debut single “Own It” on 1st December, which will be available on all streaming platform.
Consider this scenario: you’re looking at yourself in the mirror when your reflection speaks to you with a nice message. “Own It,” a song by LA-based electro-pop musician Charis, is the pep talk you didn’t even realise you needed. Charis’ lyrics relate to the significance of self-reflection and self-love, as she believes we are frequently reflections of one other; when the song repeats the word “You” to listeners, she is also talking to herself. “Own It,” which will be released on December 1st, 2021, is a call to develop real confidence by owning your own narrative.
“Own It,” a Charis and Kedo Rebelle duet, was intended to combat the sense of not being noticed or appreciated for who you are. Kedo Rebelle is also the Recording and Mix Engineer for “Own It,” in addition to being the principal songwriter on the tune. Eric Moser and Armin Schneider produced the tune, which was mastered by Elliot James Mulhern. The music video for “Own It,” directed by Caitlin Pitt and Patrick Nguyen, includes shots shot in the desert of Bombay Beach as well as a few moments shot in a friend’s garage.
“I want this song to remind people to be proud of their story and how far they’ve come,” Charis says adding, “I want them to celebrate themselves.”
Charis’ music career has included a mix of live performances and peppy music releases, all of which have received excellent feedback. “Own It,” Charis’s first step into pop music, is the first single from her upcoming EP, and it sets a new tone for the next wave of music to come. In addition to the EP, Charis aims to release a single with Polish dance/EDM record label Magic Records on February 18th, 2022, featuring artist/producer Poylow.
Her most recent Charismatic Records album, “Touch,” has gotten over 45,000 Spotify views alone, with previous releases including a collaboration with Mirror and Metta for the song “He.” Her debut song, “All On Me,” was recorded in a friend’s attic during her junior year of college, and she quickly understood that it was only the beginning.
Charis is discovering what it means to realise her value while keeping it genuine by living out the words of “Own It,” and she is encouraged to help others do the same. “You can allow yourself to feel confident and seductive by stepping into your power,” Charis says. “I hope this song can help you feel that way.”
