Megan and Shane finally release their tragic song ‘scars’ which features on their album ‘Daughter of Country’
Behind every great song is a story, Megan and Shane release the much anticipated single on their ‘Daughter of Country’ album titled ‘scars’ which was released on 30th of November this year. Scars is a song inspired by the torture, disturbing experience and physical injuries in Megan’s life. This is clearly stated in the lyrics of the song when Megan said “standing here looking in the mirror staring at all of my scars each one tells a different kind of story of how I’ve come, so far” She went on and starts talking about the scars on her body and what each one of them represents and how she got them and says “these are my scars, they are who we are, we all fall and we all have scars”. Lyrics of the song tells it was written based on a personal tragedy.
Megan and Shane is a husband-and-wife duo who have shared ideas to put in the ‘Daughter of Country’ album which could typically described as a sad album. The husband-and-wife duo owns a School of Rock franchise but made decisions to bring in external aid and bring a wider audience and perspective to their music and so rather, they sold their house and quit their jobs of 15years and moved into a 300 square feet studio to save up money and meet the desired financial requirement to promote their project. In doing this, they made this project up with Bob Hoag, a producer they had engaged with on their project.
