Dainis Tenis, a pianist from Latvia, has released the first song off his upcoming debut album as a solo artist, momentum II.
London UK (December 11, 2021) Dainis Tenis a Latvia pianist has finally released his first solo project titled ‘Momentum II’. The song was officially released on December 3, available on all streaming platform.
Momentum II focuses on the big picture value of these seemingly little details. The piece is about mundane occurrences in our daily lives that are frequently overlooked and underappreciated. For example, waking up to a new day, seeing dozens of colours, or taking a cool drink when you’re thirsty.
The sounds of acoustic, prepared pianos, and synths pervade Dainis Tenis’ creative music. The pianist pays homage to both major musical currents he is interested in – classical piano playing and experimental style that pushes the boundaries of what is previously known – on his debut album ‘DECODER’.
Lyrical melodies are intertwined with unconventional harmonic solutions in Dainis’ music, highlighting a wide range of emotions from peaceful meditation to technical explosions of intensity.
Dainis is a member of DAGAMBA, a well-known crossover instrumental band. They perform as a band all over the world, including countless arena shows in the Baltics and Russia, and their CDs have won numerous honours. DAGAMBA has headlined a number of well-known festivals since their debut at Glastonbury.
Dainis has performed as a soloist with a variety of orchestras, including the Grammy-winning Sinfonietta Riga. As a classical pianist, he had won various prizes and performed at a number of classical festivals, including Piano aux Jacobins.
