December 17 2021 (London, England) German singer songwriter and producer Ela Ira finally released her much awaited song, track titled “Little Bird”. The song was officially released on December 10, and it’s available on all streaming platforms.
Ela Ira’s third pre-album single is “Little Bird.” The song begins as a basic yet soulful piano ballad, but quickly evolves into a cinematic ambiance with the addition of electronics and violins. Because the lyrics are so simple, they may be extended out and improvised with in an unexpected way. The song is about suffering a loss, with the lover depicted as a “Little Bird” who has flown away in the lyrics.
Elizabeth Boardman, a singer-songwriter, producer, and violist, has a solo project called Ela Ira. Ela Ira’s music is influenced by a variety of genres, ranging from retro synth-wave to R&B. James Blake, Alicia Keys, Banks, Lana del Rey, Sylvan Esso, and Kate Bush have all influenced her artistically. She was asked onto the German radio station Radio Fritz for an interview about her new album a week before the first song was released.
Her previous band, White Night, received attention for her song writing when they were nominated for the German Song writing Award 2018 and won the US Song writing Award 2019. They published their debut album “Golden Heart” with indie label Motor Entertainment in 2018, and it gained a lot of airplay on German radio, as well as two music videos that were broadcast on German MTV. Elizabeth is also a professionally educated musician in Berlin, where she works as a freelance violist/baroque violist.
