“Christmas Time” is Forgotten Garden’s most recent song, and it takes a different approach to Christmas than most of the other songs we hear at Noel. It’s a bleak, acoustic song about how Christmas memories from the past can haunt you. In the song, Christmas becomes a watershed moment in a tragic storey. The stark and beautiful lyrics serve as a reminder of how this might happen.
The song’s heart is Danny’s energetically played piano. The magnificent Severnduo’s thunderous cello and violin, which contribute to heighten the melancholy of this release, are added to this. Ines’s lovely, haunting vocals glide above it all.
Forgotten Garden is a dark/gothic post-punk duo & guests with dark/gothic post-punk tendencies. They occasionally stray from their post-punk righteousness and into more acoustic territory. Inês sings the eerie vocals, and Danny performs the majority of the instruments. Although Inês is originally from Portugal, they both live in the north of Scotland. They began collaborating in 2019.
Forgotten Garden’s are really doing some great job with the kind of nice music they are putting out there, especially their lyrics delivery flow, which is on point. They are really a must listen to artist.
