Telling the story of escaping a bush fire, “Alta Falls” launches the title “THE FIRE” for their debut EP. Alta Falls’ new song titled the “THE FIRE” released on the third of December 2021 is one that tells the story of bush fire from the view of the father of Nathanael, the lead singer of the duo from the lyrics of the song. “My Dad was telling me a story from when I was only one year old. There was a sudden and catastrophic bush fire heading towards our house. He was working in the city and my Mum, brother, and two sisters were at home.
Chills ran down my spine as my dad told me the feeling of driving home that night, past burning coals and ashes on both sides of the road, wondering if we were still alive. Thankfully, the wind had turned at the last minute and we were spared”, says Nathanael. According to the duo, “THE FIRE” is their strongest track yet, with high energy beats and punchy hooks hauled by a delighted feeling. Being recorded early in the year 2020, not too long after the 2019/2020 disastrous fire outbreak in Australian bushes destroying about 2,000 homes, The “Alta Fall” says, “‘The Fire was the first song we recorded for the EP. It was at a time when it felt like the world was imploding – first, the devastating bush fires which were making headlines all over the world, and then the spread of COVID-19 started taking hold. It was an eerie time, and the recording of this song made us reflect on all those who so sadly lost their homes and lives.”
