17 November 2021 (London, UK) – The Miller Test has released a single and video for the song ‘No Venus Moves‘ on November 5 to coincide with the release of their second album, ‘Dead Blue’.
‘No Venus Moves‘ could be the theme song for a millenarian cult, blending troublingly bleak observations with moments of pulsating pop exhilaration, somewhere between the 80s pop-soul of When Doves Cry/Billie Jean and the morose mumble-lyricism of later Leonard Cohen, all hooked up with two rounds of Stonesy doo-doo-doos.
The album ‘Dead Blue’ was recorded with producer John Winfield (Jimmy Somerville, Paul Mosley, Delta Saxophone Quartet) between November 2020 and March 2021. Eden Gaol, a “toe-tapping, hip-hoppish slice of art-pop with echoes of Bowie and Funkadelic,” was praised as “fun, ludicrous, and infectious” by Alt77 and a “toe-tapping, hip-hoppish slice of art-pop with echoes of Bowie and Funkadelic” by Jammerzine when it was released earlier this year.

Other Side Reviews called their debut album, This Funk Is Political, “a serious aural experience that will linger with you” and FV Music called it “a must-hear release.” From November 5, Dead Blue will be accessible to stream on all major platforms.
For nearly a decade, the Miller Test has been performing together. They’ve been hiding out in a small East London rehearsal room for the majority of that time, with brief stints as the house band at Biddles Bros on the Lower Clapton Road.
